March 1st 2006:As you may noticed, we are gradually making our site bi-language.
We noticed that about 90% of all our visitors are English readers or a language
other than Papiamento ( the original language the site was written in )
Naturacao welcomes all you English speaking nature lovers !
This news section for instance will be updated in English only, while some
other section will be bi-language.
Originally the site was aimed for the local youth and we choose Papiamento
as the language. As time goes by we grow into a more serious site with lots of
international visitors. This is not a major disaster for the local youth because
on the Island we speak/write "acceptable" English, Papiamento,
Dutch and Spanish.

March 26th 2006:We are offering NAFL.200,- ( $ 111.- ) for a life specimen of " Aranja di Pinda "
All this from our own family pocket money.
We don't have nor never had sponsers supporting our cause !

July 16th 2006:A few weeks ago a meeting was held for the community
regarding the pollution made by PDVSA ( Refinery )
A lot had been happening since the last meeting and we will
give you all the details in a short while.

July 16th 2006:We have uploaded from July 5th up to this date
24 new Mots on our site. Stay tune because we still have a few more to go.

May 17th 2007:The department of GGD and Gezondheids Dienst
( Government agencies ) are conducting a survey in different locations.
Areas like Wishi, Marchena, Julianadorp, Jandoret and Klein St. Michiel
just to mention a few.
This would be to gather information regarding Health problems,
Material damage and Social problems. This as important data for attacking
the pollution caused by Isla N.V. on different levels.
Levels include:
- Pressure on Isla N.V. to comply with international norms,
- Prepare public information for the community.
This survey will conclude end of this month and the government is
planning a second phase with examination of health victims. ( by a doctor )
One interesting part of the survey as mentioned above ( Social problems )
has to do with decline in visitors these affected areas experienced from
relatives/friends outside of the contaminated areas.

Nov 1st 2007: HAPPY BIRTHDAY . . . . NATURACAO !
Yesterday we closed our campaign.
It was a very successful campaign, with lots of participants.
During the month of october 27.480 pages were viewed by our visitors
a record breaking achievment for us. And for the first time ever a record
breaking total visits from Curacao with 18.17% from an all-time 0.11%.
We have three winners. This weekend we will reveal them to you after they
have receive their call.
