Vruminga Barika di Awa.

These are the considerations for identifying the "Vruminga Barika di Awa".
The nest with eggs and young are located at 10 cm in the ground.
Compared with other Ants families this is not deep.
The record for un-deep nest is hold by the "Badjaga" (3cm ).
"Vruminga di blachi" that has some resemblance ( the worker )
but these make nests at depths of 1 to 2 meters.
It's not easy to set the "Vruminga di blachi" apart from the "Vruminga barika di awa ",
the worker that is. So the nest depth is one of the considerations. Next the Soldier.

The Soldier has an 8-shaped belly and is translucent brown.
This is not the case with the "Vruminga di blachi" ant.
The "Vruminga Barika di Awa" has a brown head sometimes looks orange.
Size of the worker is 5mm and soldier 9mm, extremities lenght that is.
Because the soldier's body is four (4) times bigger than the worker.
Although the soldier has a very nasty bite, these Ants are not that aggressive.
