DESCRIPTION:
Spectacular, not for vibrant colous but for the way
she spreads and keep the full design wings open.
The " Mot Spetakulus " appear in different wing patches.
We have photographed ten ( 10 ) types.
Named : "Maron", "Stip", "Pretu", "Skerpi", "Kla", "Parti",
"Shushi", "Shinishi", "2-Wowo", and "Tur-tur".
Pay close attention to the following when observing these Mots.
a) Wing shape ( 4 curves ).
b) Colour contrasts.
c) Patches, stripes and dots.
Their wingspan is approximately 4 cm.

CHARACTERISTICS:
They sleep during daytime without hiding.
By doing this they exposed them selves unaware
of danger to be eaten by Reptiles and Birds.
Sometimes their body can camouflaged with the surrounding.
But they succeed and strive because they have very good
birth-rate for their young ( Pupa ) goes in soil ( protected ).
During the rainy season you can see a lot of these " Mot Spetakulus ".


Some difference between a Mot and a Butterfly:
* Antenae of a Mot does'nt have a ball at the end.
* Mots are mostly night insects.
* Mots lack vibrant colours like Butterflies.
* Mots sleep with open wings while Butterflies closed theirs.
* The pupa of a Butterfly hangs unprotected while Mots protects theirs
in the soil, rolled-up in leaves or covered with mud.
* Mots react on light, vibration and scent while Butterflies on
colour, temperature and scent.
