This Moth is white of colour and the colours beneath it's body
are reflected in the white (top) colour.
You can also notice the black spots strategicly on it's thorax,
back and wing edge. Underneath ( belly ) 2 rows of black spots
runs side by side. The colours on the other side of the wings are
red, black and white ( thumbnail #3 ).
With some fantasy you can see that this Mot's body is as if she wear a dress.
" Shimis " means in Papiamentu: "Dress ".
This Mot is very quite and fly low, about a meter high.
" Mot Shimis " lives in the forests where it find shrubs.
" Mot Shimis " is active during the daytime and at night.
From tip of antennae to wing edge she about 2,4 cm.

Some differences between a Mot and a Butterfly :
* Antennae of a Mot does not have a ball on the end.
* The majority of Mot are night insects.
* Mostly Butterflies have nice colours.
* Mots have straight flat wings, Butterflies sleep with wing
fold together upward.
* The Butterfly Pupa is not protected ( hangs free on leave )
a Mot like protecting it's Pupa by rolling it in a leave, hidding it
in dirt or mudd, or cast it out of mudd.
* Mots reacts on light, vibration and smell.
