Slak Purunchi:
They belong to the Class Gastropoda and Order Stylommatophora.
They are seen walking around algae near the water edge.

The "Purunchi" is an aquatic snail, but the species are
mainly air breathers.
One remarkable fact about this snail is that they are hermaphrodite.
Having both male and female sexual characteristics and organs.
When mating they will switch.
They can be seen only during rainy seasons.
Especially in or near Dams or ponds.
Their shell is not very hard.
The name "Purunchi" has to do with the dots on her body.
"Purunchi" = Dotted body snail.
